Early Autumn Wedding
The garden foliages are still fresh and luscious, but there is an unmistakable mellow feeling of autumn beginning to pervade the garden now. Last weekend's wedding between a very family-orientated pair of farmers had a plum-and-pink theme, with lots of soft green leaves and airy, wild-looking elements. It was a pleasure to create Zoe's softly spilling bouquet, plump with baptisia foliage and light with panicum grass, with sumptuous roses and dahlias at its centre. The other bouquets, buttonholes and corsages were softly plumtious too, each like a small part of the bridal bouquet. The couple also bought buckets of flowers and foliage for decorating their reception tables with, so that everything would tie together beautifully.
