Flower Party

Last week we treated ourselves to a Summer Flower Party, with some of our nicest florist customers, so that we and some of our team could get to know them a little better, and for them to be able to see where and how their flowers are grown. It was so lovely to chat with the florists, some of whom we’ve only ever ‘met’ through email before, and to try to get more of an understanding of how the world of the florist operates. There was so much delight in flowers, and so much passion from the florists to tread as lightly as possible in an industry which is rife with waste. Barney made everyone tell him at what stage of opening they like to receive their roses, and soothed himself when there was a confusing lack of consensus by playing favourite old tunes on his gramophone.
